As a skater, Megan was a national competitor in singles, pairs, and synchronized skating. In addition to competing internationally for the US in singles skating, she earned the titles of Regional Ladies Champion, Sectional Pairs Champion, and 3-time Synchronized Skating National Bronze Medalist. Her specialties include choreography and coaching all levels of freestyle. She has coached students at both the Regional and Sectional levels, and choreographed for skaters at the National and International levels.She is also a NASM certified personal trainer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science from the University of Michigan, and Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from UCLA.

Kayleah has been coaching since 2005, and specializes in moves in the field and all levels of freestyle. She heads both the Washtenaw Edge High School Skating Team, and the Coliseum Comets Synchronized Skating Teams. On a personal level, she skated competitively since the age of 7, both in freestyle and ice dance, and competed with the University of Michigan Synchronized Skating Team (2011 and 2012 National Bronze medalists). Outside of skating, Kayleah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan.

Amy has been coaching at the Coliseum Figure Skating Club for 13 years, and spent several years as a synchronized skater herself. She is certified with U.S. Figure Skating, and has the credentials to take kids to basic skills competitions, as well as USFS non-qualifying competitions and test sessions. She is confident and up-to-date with coaching skaters from all levels of basic skills up through the Juvenile level. She is a strong believer that honest hard work can also be lots of fun!

Katie has over 20 years of skating experience. She was a 6-time EGL Regional competitor, 5-time medalist at the Michigan High School State Championships, and Intercollegiate National competitor in singles. In synchronized skating, she was a member of Team USA and a 4-time National bronze medalist.  She has five years of coaching experience, and her strengths include all levels of freestyle, moves in the field, and basic skills. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Michigan.

A Two-Time U.S. National Medalist and a Three-Time USFS Regional Champion, Jonathan is a PSA Double-Master Rated Coach, and a PSA Accredited Level 2 Power Hockey Skating Coach. During his 14 years of experience coaching skating before moving to Michigan in the fall of 2016, he coached and trained skaters ranging from 3 year old beginners to regional champions and adults. He loves to work with skaters of all ages and abilities. Outside of skating, Jonathan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Vermont, and he is also a National Medalist Ballroom Dancer.

Rachel began skating at three years old and skated competitively in freestyle for ten years through the Regional level, as well as in solo ice dance for one season. She has experience coaching skaters from ages two to adult and is thrilled to share her love of the sport with skaters of all ages. She specializes in Learn to Skate and freestyle and she loves to choreograph. Outside of skating, Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Michigan with a minor in Computer Science.

Kate has over ten years of skating experience. She is a four-time EGL Regional Competitor and a 3-time Final Round Competitor at qualifying levels. She has grown up at the Chelsea Figure Skating Club and continues to push boundaries in her own skating, and in doing so inspires many other skaters in the club. She has lead by example for years, and now looks forward to starting a more hands on role with the young members of the Chelsea Figure Skating Club.

Amelia has been skating for over ten years and coaching Learn to Skate since 2014. She is an EGL Regionals competitor in singles and a two-time Midwestern Synchronized Skating Sectionals competitor, as well as a USFS National Showcase finalist in both individual and team events with multiple national top ten finishes. Amelia is currently certified to coach students in basic skills and USFS non-qualifying competitions and test sessions. A sophomore at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, she is excited to continue coaching and competing for the Chelsea Figure Skating Club.

Kendall has over nine years of skating experience. She was a five-time EGL Regional Competitor, a gold medalist at Michigan High School State Championships, a silver medalist at Michigan High School National Championships,  a two-time National Showcase Competitor, and a National Theatre on Ice Competitor. She has been coaching for two years, and is certified with US Figure Skating. She has credentials to take kids to Basic Skills Competitions. She is currently a Junior at Chelsea High School and continues her career in skating.

USFS Tests Passed: Intermediate Moves in the Field, Intermediate Free Skate

 

Emily is a new coach at the Arctic Coliseum as of 2017. She competed up to Intermediate Test Track Free Skate until 2016 and now competes Showcase. She has also attended three regional competitions and has qualified for Showcase Nationals twice so far. Her first year at Showcase Nationals Emily placed top ten in her flight and is excited to continue to compete in this field. Emily greatly enjoys coaching private lessons along with Learn to Skate at the Arctic Coliseum.
